Summary: SoundFriend is a voice-friendly web app/PWA. The app can use your device’s built-in text-to-speech to play greetings and character lines. We do not require accounts.

Data we collect

No account data: we do not ask you to create an account.
No chat logs: in the current version, we do not store conversations on a server.
Device TTS: speech is produced locally on your device using the browser/OS text-to-speech.

Analytics and advertising

SoundFriend may use analytics and/or advertising to fund development. If enabled, these third-party services may collect device information (such as IP address, device identifiers, and usage events) according to their own privacy policies.

If/when advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated with the exact providers used.

Permissions

Microphone: not required for basic use.
Storage: not required for basic use.

Children

SoundFriend is not designed for collecting personal data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when features change (for example: accounts, payments, gifts, or AI chat). The updated date will be changed at the top of this page.
